If people were trees, we would have the honor of absorbing and storing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and releasing clean breathable oxygen back into the air for all air breathing beings to breathe.
If we were trees, we would have the honor of holding the Earth’s crust together to avoid mudslides and runoffs to provide nourishing soil for plants to grow so we can help feed the beings that rely on plants for food.
If we were trees, we would have medicinal properties such as lowering blood pressure and relieving stress, plus the many healing properties that our leaves, bark, and sap would provide.
If we were trees, we could break the mighty winds with our large healthy branches to help protect the many other sentient beings that rely on our strength.
If we were trees, our large healthy branches would reach toward the sky to be a home for many birds, insects, fungi, and more.
If we were trees, we would have a large trunk perfect for hugging, vine growing, and for squirrels to chase each other around and around at breakneck speeds.
If we were trees, we would provide shade from solar radiation and the perfect cooling setting for a family picnic for ants and humans alike.
If we were trees, our leaves, bark, and sap would also provide food, not just medicine, for many other sentient beings.
If we were trees, we would hold many secrets to the past. Our inner circles tell the tale.
If we were trees, we would have no opinion, but instead only purpose.
If we were trees, we could learn a lot from being a tree.
