Today is National Zipper Day, National Shrimp Scampi Day, National Peace Rose Day, National Hairball Awareness Day, National Arbor Day, International Dance Day, and my best friend’s Birthday.
My best friend’s favorite animal is the elephant, and although elephants already have an official World Elephant Day on August 12, I am officially making today a special elephant day for my friend.
My friend loves nature, and all the beauty nature holds, so even though Earth Day was on April 22, Earth Day is every day for my friend and me.
My friend loves her pets, and National Pet Day is on April 11th, but for my friend and me, every day is National Pet Day.
National Tree Day may fall on August the 2nd, but my friend loves her trees no matter what day the calendar says it is. My friend appreciates the hard work trees perform in providing life sustaining oxygen, shelter, and food for all living beings.
My friend loves the wildlife that roams her property, and although National Wildlife Day falls on September the 4th, wildlife roams supreme every day for my friend on her property.
National Family Day falls on the fourth Monday of September, which means National Family Day will be on September 26th this year. I can’t say if my friend puts family above all her other loves, I have not asked her, but I’m pretty sure she does.
June 8th is National Best Friends Day, and now that we know that, my friend and I can make a lunch date every year it is possible, because I have never met a more sincere person, and someone I enjoy spending time with.
So, I hope my dear friend you check your zipper on this National Zipper Day, after you eat your shrimp scampi on this National Shrimp Scampi Day, before waltzing around the Peace Rose bush on International Dance Day and National Peace Rose Day, remembering Lucky needs hairball medicine on National Hairball Awareness Day, while planting a tree on National Arbor Day. (I planted a Red Buckeye tree today in your honor).
Carpe Diem Kathy!! Happy Birthday!! All my love!!!
