Go Ahead Blink, at least you'll see what's next.

Updated: Mar 4, 2022

A friend of mine wrote an essay titled, Blink. It could have been titled “In the Blink of an Eye”, as that term is referenced to a few times, and yes, as you may have guessed, it is about how life can flip people’s worlds upside down in the blink of an eye.

My friend wrote the prophetic essay a month before a loved one of hers sat down to enjoy an afternoon lunch. After lunch this person snuggled up in their lazy boy chair to take a nap and never woke up. Because of the shock of what happened, I don’t know if she even remembers writing the essay, which predicted her own world would be flipped upside down in the blink of an eye.

Most people have had their world flipped upside down, especially during this time of Covid. I too have experienced this with the sudden death of my husband from a massive heart attack. One minute he was here, the next he was gone.

In my husband’s case he was very sick, and I had been grieving for him during the six years I had been caring for him. When a sudden massive heart attack took him, I saw his death, as I see most deaths of those who are suffering, as a blessing, not a loss. I didn’t want him to die and leave us, but I didn’t want him to stay and suffer either. That blink of an eye moment flipped my family’s life upside down, and though twenty years has passed, I still miss him.

I don’t think people go about their lives thinking of the next shoe to drop. Who wants to spend their time thinking about what may come, or what disasters await around the corner. Yet still it lingers in the back of people’s minds, because we have either experienced it firsthand, or know someone who has experienced it firsthand.

So far, we have been talking about life flipping people’s lives upside down, but what happens when a person in power decides to flip other people's lives upside down? Then what?

I have heard it said by members of my own family that karma is a “bitch”! Karma is the energy attracted back to you by your own actions. Good actions, create good karma, bad actions, create bad karma. So, would you want to be the crazy little man holding the world hostage? Would you want to be the crazy little man killing innocent people, and poisoning people who oppose you?

Imagine for one minute what type of karma is created by purposefully flipping people lives upside down in the blink of an eye. Imagine the universal rude awakening that will hold this little man accountable for his ruthless, barbaric behavior. I for one don’t want to be in his shoes when lightning starts flying from the sky.

When one crazy man decides to hold the world hostage, you can’t help but wonder if his whole world will be flipped upside down in the blink of an eye. Remember what a debacle Hitler’s regime was, he ended up killing himself.

When a narcissistic little man holds nations hostage, you wonder what the future holds. Something needs to be done. But what?

My answer is hopefully everyone around the world sends this little narcissistic man love, with a large side order of karma.

Carpe Diem empathic narcissistic loving, karma producing hopefuls. Let’s make our difference with our empathy, not our anger!!!
