I practice being the watcher of myself by standing outside my body and watching my actions from behind me. My Dad always used to say, “Pretend I am standing on your shoulder”. Now I pretend I am standing behind me and watching life unfold around me before I make a decision or move a muscle in reaction.
As I write this, the part of me that I call my higher self is watching me from behind. You can call this activity a higher self, you can call it consciousness, or you can put whatever name on this activity you want, but this is important.
I am doing remodeling in my old house, and when I move toward a wall to repaint, or a floor to tile, I watch myself in motion. I notice my moves are slower, more methodical, and smoother. My mind and focus are on what lies ahead of me and not on what happened yesterday or the plans I have tomorrow.
When I am behind myself and I look over my shoulder and watch life unfold before me, I recognize life is work. Even resting is work. During rest the body heals itself from the toxins it has encountered during the day, and when you encompass a positive attitude to the healing, anything is possible. Jesus said in John 14:12, “Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever believes in Me will also do the works that I am doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father”.
I believe what Jesus said is true, for I have healed myself in many ways. While some wounds are more difficult to heal and take more time and patience than others, when it comes to the dark shadow work of the ego, I have done a lot of healing I didn’t think was possible. Ego equals fear, and as Franklin D. Roosevelt said in his 1933 inaugural address to the nation, “The only thing we have to fear… is fear itself”.
Good work produces good outcomes, and I enjoy watching myself move from one moment to the next. I enjoy watching my life in slow motion as I work to the best of my ability to do the best I can with a constantly fluctuating rainbow river of life.
Watching thoughts and actions gives me a chance to redirect my energy into a positive worthwhile action. Watching gives me the best perspective on life, almost like an Eagle flying high above, watching out for every danger and watching over everything coming from all directions.
Who doesn’t want protection from above or protection from below? Remember you are the witness to your whole life, you can see it through your third eye, the witness to yourself. Watch yourself through your third eye, witness life as it unfolds in front to you, be your joy stick of your living life.
When I live through my third eye, or higher self, I have better control over my actions by being the watcher of my actions. I do my best to watch patiently over every choice and every decision I make, this gives me a split second upper hand because it only takes a split second to make a bad decision.
Life only takes a second for a life changing event to happen in front of you, so be the witness to your life. Be prepared for the life changing event unfolding in front of you by being the Eagle eyed, protector of your watcher self.
Carpe Diem Eagle Eye Watchers!!
